Yes, I know all about the UAD Liverack and I'm sure all this is possible in its software, but it's only Quad processing compared to the 12 I have now & I do also use the Analogue I/O on the Apollos.Top Downloads RasterVect RasterVect can convert raster images (TIFF,JPEG,BMP.) to a vector format. Any insert effects would be recalled using the normal Save/Load menu in console. If it were possible to 'recall safe' channel strips and/or individual plugins that would make for a perfect solution to this problem. I know I can use the UAD plugins in Liveprofessor, but one of the things I really like using UAD console is that it doesn't fall over if the host computer crashes. The only way I can see round this at the moment is to separate the system and have, say, 2 Apollos on one macbook for inserts and the third on a second macbook for FX. As soon as the next FX snapshot was fired the insert channels would revert to their previous state. Tedious and prone to error - certainly no way it could be done mid show. an eq or compressor - and have the changes reflected over the whole show, I'd have to make the same tweak and update every snapshot for every song. The problem is that if I want to tweak any plugins - eg. in console and have snapshots for FX parameters for each song, all fired from Liveprofessor or whatever. I recently discovered the console recall plugin and thought I'd hit the jackpot - Goodbye Waves forever - I'd be able to run UAD reverbs etc. Up to this point I've been using it like a very flexible outboard rack. This has been working well & is rock solid. I'm using a MADI to Adat converter to allow me to insert plugin chains via console at very low latency. I've been using a couple of Silver face Apollo 8s in a live situation for a year or so & it's been a game changer. I have a feeling this may be a bit niche but if you don't ask. First post - sorry if this has been discussed before but a search didn't bring anything up.
